How can a coach just disappear into thin air…?
Mr John Harrington, owner of the Harrington stagecoach line, is at his wit’s end.
There has been a spate of hold-ups along his line route and as its one of the two main lines into California, these marauding outlaws are costing him business.
Harrington is convinced his rival and owner of the stagecoach route, Alexander Nunn, is behind the hold-ups to drive him out of business once and for all.
He just lacks the proof, so he hires top gunslinger Steve ‘Baby Face’ Randall to investigate.
Randall isn’t as convinced that Nunn is behind it all but he’ll do good by his word, and put a stop to these hold-ups.
His first order of call is the most recent hold-up – a stagecoach was taken and no one has seen it since.
According to Sheriff McKenna, the tracks led up into Ghost Mountain. But he found neither hide nor hair of either the outlaws or the missing coach.
If he’s to do any investigating, Randall has to get to the outpost on Ghost Mountain, run by the beautiful but feisty Laura Christian.
Laura is just as convinced its Nunn harming the line and in her view, Randall is wasting time looking for proof.
But Randall is even less convinced when he meets Nunn. Despite knowing that he’s working for Harrington, Nunn is surprisingly hospitable.
However, Nunn’s right-hand man – Carmichael – is another story all together. A nasty thug of a man, who took a swing at Randall the first chance he could.
But is Nunn’s behaviour a ruse? After all, his line has conveniently not experienced any hold-ups.
Meanwhile, Laura’s handyman Jesse has been suspiciously heading up Ghost Mountain, alone, during the night.
And while he claims it’s to look for silver, everyone knows that the silver in Ghost Mountain has long been mined out.
Could Jesse have something to do with the missing coach? Or worse, could he be involved with the outlaws?
There might be more to this mystery than Randall originally thought…
A gripping Western, The Lost Coach is full of suspense and heart-pounding gun fights that will transport you back to the wild west.

The Lost Coach edition by S J Bounds Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
This was a very good western, lots of action good story line. I enjoyed the book to the very end.
This is a good traditional western. The "Girl" falls for the "Guy" rather quickly and without knowing much about each other. The action is smooth and there is some suspense about who and why stage coaches are being robbed. Overall, a nice reading story.
SJB has penned a West Texas./New Mexico Territory/Arizona/California state run. Two stage companies are in competition. The American Robbers vs the Mexican Drug Dealers. One company hired an outside man who turns the tables when one group fights the other group. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS
